Dear MVWG members,

 

We are happy to be able to offer a limited number of travel grants for graduate students and early career researchers (<5 years post PhD) planning on attending the 2022 MVWG meeting in Tübingen in person.  The funds to support this initiative were generously provided by ICAZ. For registration please fill in the form on the right!

 

Criteria:

 

  • Applicants must be members of the MVWG

  • Applicants must be presenting either a podium or poster presentation at the meeting as 1st author

The applicants must also fill some detailed information in, such as 

  • Where and when you will be travelling from

  • Your planned travel method (car, bus, plane, train)

  • A list of your anticipated expenses you would like covered by the ICAZ travel grant

  • Information on any other funds you already have at your disposal (grants, scholarships, stipends)

The MVWG coordinators will review each funding request and allocate funds based on three criteria – applicants academic level, applicants financial need, and our effort to maximize the impact of the total funds.

Dear MVWG members and colleagues,

We are happy to announce the abstract submission deadline for the 4th biennial MVWG meeting taking place from Sept. 8-10th, 2022 in beautiful Tübingen Germany has been extended to June 15th 2022!

Hosted by the Institut für Naturwissenschaftliche Archäologie (INA), the Early Prehistory & Quaternary Ecology Department (EPQE) and Senckenberg Centre for Human Evolution and Paleoenvironment (SHEP) this year’s meeting will take on a hybrid format, incorporating both in-person presentations and online/pre-recorded talks. Paper contributions, as podium presentations of 20 minutes or posters, must be related to the study of insectivore, rodent, bat, reptile and amphibian remains from archaeological deposits, including as a topics taphonomy, commensalism, taxonomy, evolution, palaeoenvironmental reconstruction, biostratigraphy, biochronology and new and improved methodologies (such as morphometry, DNA or Isotope analyses).
